Are you single and unhappy about it?

I am here to help you. I can’t help you find a man but I can help you find your happiness. My name is Angela and I am an always inquisitive, Christ follower with recovering perfectionist tendencies that loves all things travel, beauty and royalty related (Kate Middleton anyone?).

I am single. My last relationship was eleven years ago.

In my twenties, I dated a few men but I wasn’t concerned with finding the right one yet. Once I entered my thirties, I felt a lot more pressure to find the right guy. It seemed like almost everyone my age was getting married or engaged, so it felt like my options were quickly dwindling and our society tells us that the older we get, the less desirable we are, so apparently my desirability was dwindling too. Plus, I really wanted a hot best friend to share my life with, have a family with and travel the world with. So through many conversations with Jesus and other wise counsel (my parents and my bible), soul searching and life coaching, I have come to the realization that my singleness is a blessing and that I actually love being single. That does not mean that I don’t still have the desire to be married, because I do, but it means that the pressure has been alleviated and replaced with a complete confidence in my God and His timing. In that confidence, I feel peaceful and free and I am having time of my life.
